OUR SCOPE
Superior Bowen served as the general contractor for the City of Belton on the Larkspur Circle Improvements project, constructing a new roadway that connected two existing dead-end streets into a complete, continuous roadway. In addition to the roadway, our crews completed curb and gutter, storm sewer, reinforced concrete box (RCB) installation, sidewalks, and driveways—improving connectivity, drainage, and accessibility for the surrounding community.
unique challenges
Because the project connected two existing dead-end roads, our crews were able to avoid many of the traffic control challenges typically associated with roadway construction. Instead, the primary obstacle was weather, as the project began during the winter and continued through an unusually wet spring. Our team worked collaboratively with the City of Belton to identify practical solutions, revise plans as needed and keep the project moving forward.
