Excellence in Asphalt Paving

Several of this year’s awards recognize the precision and consistency required to deliver high-quality asphalt paving on complex infrastructure projects.

Our work on I-470 in Jackson County earned multiple honors, including:

• MAPA 2025 First Place Quality Paving & Construction Award (Primary Route, <50,000 tons)

• NAPA 2025 Quality in Construction – Asphalt Paving

These recognitions reflect the planning, execution, and craftsmanship required to meet demanding specifications on one of the region’s key corridors.

In Kansas, our District 1 Overlay project (I-35 to 95th Street) was awarded:

• KAPA 2025 Second Place Quality Paving Award

This project showcases our team’s ability to deliver smooth, durable surfaces while maintaining efficiency in high-traffic environments.

National Recognition for Quality Construction

Superior Bowen was also recognized by the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) with multiple 2025 Quality in Construction Awards:

• MoDOT I-470

• KDOT I-35

• Union Pacific Intermodal Terminal

• MoDOT Route 152 & Route 1 in Clay County, Missouri
