Superior Bowen was called to perform more than 76,000 CY of excavation and 50,000 CY of embankment and hazardous soil removal. We stabilized 150,000 SY of subgrade and placed another 150,000 SY of cement-stabilized base. Our team placed over 80,000 tons of asphalt across the terminal and public roadway network.
UNIQUE CHALLENGES
Work took place on a sprawling 65-acre site. We partnered with Sitech to train our grading, paving, and surveying crews on 3D control systems, which helped them overcome obstacles like extensive acreage, other trades working in the same areas, and the presence of equipment, trains, and stockpiles.
