ASPHALT’S IN OUR DNA

For more than seven decades, multiple generations of two prominent Kansas City construction families played critical roles in the eventual creation of Superior Bowen.

First known, separately, as Superior Asphalt (a division of Clarkson Construction Company) and Bowen Construction, these two companies made respected names for themselves managing many challenging projects: residential roads, highways, airport runways, and expansive mall and sports venue parking lots.

In 2000, the companies merged to form Superior Bowen. Since then, the company has grown to become the most dominant asphalt paver/producer in the region, noted for quality of work, on-time completion, and responsible utilization of recycled materials (RAP, RAS and rubber).

Today, Superior Bowen is branching out and developing a national reputation by pursuing cutting-edge techniques that bring higher quality and lower cost to the market.
